Cirrhosis Virtual Roundtable Meeting Series

Target Audience:

The proposed roundtable series will feature a cirrhosis topic-specific clinical case review program and reach an audience of APPs and allied health care professionals.

Goal Statement:

The series of meetings will feature content geared specifically for APPs and will focus on emerging treatment updates and review current treatment guidelines for hepatic encephalopathy (HE), hepatorenal syndrome (HRS) and thrombocytopenia.

 

Educational Objectives:

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize the signs of complications caused by cirrhosis and the impact of current therapeutic interventions

  • Describe evolving patient management strategies for patients with hepatorenal syndrome (HRS), hepatic encephalopathy (HE) and thrombocytopenia

  • Apply the latest evidence-based treatment strategies to optimize outcomes for patients with HE, HRS, thrombocytopenia and other complications of cirrhosis

Annenberg Center for Health Sciences is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
