"Breaking the Barriers: An Update on the Management of IBD and Navigating the PA Process for Small Molecule and Biologics" Accredited Meeting Series

Target Audience:

This activity is designed for nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), nurses and allied health professionals.

Goal Statement:

The goal of this program is to educate health care providers on the latest advances in interdisciplinary management of IBD.

Educational Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Summarize current recommendations for selecting and assessing therapeutic targets in patients with IBD

  • Discuss the mechanism, efficacy, safety, and positioning of new and emerging biologics and small molecule therapies in IBD

  • Design evidence-based treatment plans for patients with IBD and incorporate therapies effectively into practice

  • Incorporate practical tools to reduce the prior authorization burden and facilitate timely approval of biologics in IBD

 

ANCC Accreditation:

Annenberg Center for Health Sciences is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

 

A maximum of 1.0 contact hour may be earned for successful completion of this activity.
