Program Overview
The joint providership of Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower, Chronic Liver Disease Foundation (CLDF), and Gastroenterology & Hepatology Advanced Practice Providers (GHAPP) presents The Cholestasis Collaborative: Advancing Diagnosis and Management of Cholestatic Liver Disease. This educational activity will provide healthcare professionals with comprehensive insights into the diagnosis and management of progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis (PFIC), primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), and primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC).
Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of hepatologists, gastroenterologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, and physician assistants/associates involved in the management of patients with progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis (PFIC), primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), and primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC).
Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

Recognize the clinical consequences and progression of chronic cholestatic diseases, with emphasis on pruritus, fatigue, and progressive liver damage in progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis (PFIC), primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), and primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC).

Identify current diagnostic challenges and apply diagnostic algorithms for the early and precise differentiation of progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis (PFIC), primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), and primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC).

Evaluate the efficacy and safety profiles of novel and emerging therapeutic strategies for managing symptoms (e.g., pruritus, fatigue) and addressing specific disease progression in PFIC, PBC, and PSC.

Develop comprehensive, multidisciplinary and interprofessional management strategies for cases of PFIC, PBC, and PSC.

Physician Credit
The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower designates this meeting series for a maximum of 2.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Nurse Credit
The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower designates this Meeting Series for a maximum of 2.0 ANCC contact hours, which will include pharmacology hours.
