Program Overview

The joint providership will host 10 regional conferences with education on the management of CLD and GI disorders for gastroenterology and hepatology APPs. Regional conferences will be scheduled from April to December 2023 and take place throughout the US. The series will be led by nationally renowned faculty members from GHAPP’s Community Educator Network. The series will feature an engaging and interactive format and will focus on emerging data on new treatment options, evolving data on existing treatment and diagnostic modalities and critical information on improving patient outcomes.

Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of APP’s involved in the care of patients with CLD and GI Disorders..

Educational Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be better able to:​

  • Describe current screening, diagnosis, and management options for patients with chronic liver disease (CLD) and gastrointestinal (GI) disorders

  • Apply optimal treatment strategies for patients with CLD and GI disorders

  • Compare and contrast currently available treatment modalities for CLD and GI disorders

Accreditation Statement 


In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Medical Education Resources (MER) and GHAPP. MER is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Nursing Credit

Medical Education Resources designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.5 ANCC nursing contact hours. Nurses will be awarded contact hours upon successful completion of the activity.


Medical Education Resources is a provider of continuing nursing education by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #CEP 12299, for 1.5 contact hours.

Physician Assistant Credit

Medical Education Resources has been authorized by the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria.  This activity is designated for 1.5 AAPA Category 1 CME Credits.  Physician Assistants should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.
